Version 8. 708 For Sendmail Version 8. 13 SendmailTM implements a general purpose internetwork mail routing facility under the UNIX® operating system. It is not tied to any one transport protocol — its function may be likened to a crossbar switch, relaying messages from one domain into another. In the process, it can do a limited amount of message header editing to put the message into a format that is appropriate for the receiving domain. All of this is done under the control of a configuration file. Due to the requirements of flexibility for sendmail, the configuration file can seem somewhat unapproachable. However, there are only a few basic configurations for most sites, for which standard configuration files have been supplied. Le monument Le château de Vincennes constitue un remarquable ensemble architectural dont la construction s étale du 14e siècle au 19e siècle. Attirés par sa forêt giboyeuse, les rois de France y possédèrent dès le 12e siècle un pavillon de chasse, auquel succéda, sous le règne de Philippe Auguste, un manoir de pierre. Saint Louis affectionna particulièrement cette demeure qu il embellit et agrandit. Des fouilles récentes ont permis de dégager les vestiges de ce manoir capétien. Au 14e siècle, Charles V fit achever les travaux du donjon et décida la construction d une enceinte pourvue de neuf tours. Véritable cité fortifiée, Vincennes se voulait le symbole d une monarchie moderne et puissante, lieu de pouvoir selon le modèle idéal de Christine de Pisan. Charles V fonda en 1379 la Sainte-Chapelle, conçue sur le modèle de celle du palais de la Cité (à Paris). Agrémenté d un parc parcouru de canaux et de pièces d eau, ce domaine de chasse proche de Paris séduisit de nombreux souverains, de François Ier, qui y mourut, à Charles X, qui y signa son abdication. Au 17e siècle, les précieuses y tinrent leur cour littéraire, animée par marquise de Rambouillet et sa fille, Julie d Angennes. Le château de Rambouillet a conservé jusqu à nos jours sa fonction de résidence officielle que lui avaient donné Louis XVI puis Napoléon. 1/3
