The Eastern Province Kings much-hyped 2011 season ended with a whimper when they lost 43-12 to the Boland Cavaliers in the Absa Currie Cup
First Division final in Wellington.
It was virtually a repeat of the 49-15 drubbing the wine farmers dished out to EP in the group stages at the same
venue a month earlier.
In that match, EP was slapped with three yellow cards by referee Marius Jonker.
In the final, the Kings were hit with another
yellow card and ran out of steam in the second half as they failed in their bid to retain their B-division crown.
