In honor of Hip Hop Appreciation Week, we bring you this special issue of HipHopLives. net Digital Magazine. In this issue you will first be re-acquainted with some of the True founding principles of Hip Hop as explained in the Gospel of Hip Hop. The book by KRSONE, is the most complete book about the culture of Hip Hop written thus far, and is always a good place to go for orthodox Hip Hop doctrine. It is also a book that I had the pleasure of helping the Teacha finally debut in 2009, after over 14 years of writing. A prevailing topic we discussed at length before the book came out was the idea of preserving Hip Hop, by preserving the Hiphoppa. This means that to preserve the culture, we should preserve the memory of Hiphoppas that we feel are important to the culture. The Teacha also emphasized that it does not just mean preserving the legacy of famous artists, but the everyday Hiphoppa that practices the culture.
